MIXING
Obtain a clear/clean space to prepare the ARALAST NP
Allow ARALAST NP and diluent to reach room temperature before reconstitution.
Be sure all the necessary supplies are available to complete infusion from beginning to end.Â
You will need IV start supplies, 60 ml syringe, sterile needles, empty sterile IV container (pooling bar or bottle), and IV gravity flow tubing
Double-ended transfer needle and 20-micron filter needle are provided in the box with the medication and diluent
Transfer the ARALAST NP into the diluent vials using the double-ended transfer needleÂ
To prevent foaming, insert the needle through the center of the ARALAST NP vial stoper at an angle, making certain that the diluent vial is always above the ARALAST NP vial. Vacuum in vial will allow for transfer.
Gently swirl the vial once the diluent has been added to the ARALAST NP vial.
Using the provided 20-micron filter needle, withdraw the product from vial.
Pool the product into a sterile intravenous solution container (pooling bag or bottle)
Must administer within three hours after reconstitution
