MIXING
Obtain a clear/clLan space to prepare the XENPOZYMEÂ
Be sure all the necessary supplies are available to complete infusion from beginning to end.  You will need:
IV and IV start kit, alcohol, XENPOZYME, sterile water for injection USP, syringe or empty infusion bag, pump, 0.9% sodium chloride injection, USP,  in-line low protein-binding 0.2-μm filter, bandage, sharps container
Determine number of vials needed based on individual patient's weight and prescribed dose and remove from fridge and set aside for 20 to 30 minutes to reach room temperature
Reconstitute each vial with sterile water for injection, USP, by directing diluent flow to inside wall of vial to avoid foaming and gently tilt and roll vials to avoid foaming once diluent is added
1.1 mL of sterile water for injection, USP, into the 4 mg vial
5.1 mL of sterile water for injection, USP, into the 20 mg vial
Withdraw required volume of reconstituted solution and dilute to final volume with 0.9% sodium chloride injection, USP, in a syringe or infusion bag depending on volume of infusion, based on body weight for adults or pediatric patients
For total volume less than or equal to 20 mL prepare a syringe for infusion
For a total volume of greater than or equal to 50 mL prepare an infusion bag
Gently invert syringe or infusion bag to mix
Do not shake
ADMINISTRATION
Take baseline vitals and document basic assessment
Begin infusion, ensure in-line low protein-binding 0.2-μm filter is on line
Infuse at rate ordered
Monitor patient for any adverse reactions
Record vitals every 15 minutes after infusion start, AND 5-10 minutes post infusion
Record lot numbers and expiration dates for vials used
After the infusion is complete, the infusion line should be flushed with 0.9% sodium chloride injection, USP, using same infusion rate as one used for last part of infusion
Disconnect patient, flush line, and remove IV
Place pressure bandage at site
Clean and dispose of used suppliesÂ
